Well I have finished the Empennage, fiberglass and all. I now have about 8 weeks till the wings arrive and another 17 for the fuselage and finishing kit. Since I have this time I decided to paint the parts I have finished. I have scoured the other builder's websites and have found a multitude of painting practices. From only alodining and painting as in some of Van's aircraft to priming, topcoats and clearcoats.

I believe I will go the route of Clean/Etch, Alodine, Vari Prime and Imron topcoat.
